Trail Talk #4: Leandro Moriera and Will Herrmann.
Although Florida has never been conducive to dirt, I have always been fascinated with the art behind trails. It's pretty amazing how much time is spent in the creation and upkeep of trails throughout the world--It seems in most cases that more time is spent digging and packing than actual riding. But the pay out is always worth it in the end--I've never seen a more content lot after putting in a day of digging followed by a solid session. Good times all around.
I took the time to do a seccession of Q and A's with some of our riders regarding the art of trails.

Will Herrmann

Will has been on the injured list. So, instead of a shot at the trails, enjoy this shot of a perfect table out of a wallride...trail inspired I guess? Get well soon Will. Photo by Rich Homer www.buildthewoods.co.uk

-Name of your home trails: Currently the digmore track near Bristol
-What state/region are they located: Down in the depths of the south west of England.
-Water source: We got a hut that runs water into an old farm barrel thing, there's also a stream a walk away.
-How many days a week do you dig: Currently I am slack due to school ending in about 4 days, when I started down there me and another dude called Jamaica Will were down there all days every weekend and a few week eves and days. We used to talk about some weird shit, then drink a few beers. Then our trails fox started showing up, so then it got super fun.
-Do you dig year round: Winter is stacking and summer is maintaining, heavy amounts of clay that dries hard as hell in the sun.
-How many locals are involved with maintenance of the trails?: 8 or so, people come and go, it's a good vibe. There is the super local Freddy the fox who is down there more than us, mainly because he lives there and he is a trails fox, he literally comes and chills with us and talks a bunch of shit when we don't give him our food. He hangs out with the ghost of a stewed rat that got killed drowning in some left over broth.
-How many total lines: 8 or so I'd say, things link in and out of each other.
-Your favorite line and why: BF, because its got a hip you can roast and catch your noggin on branches, when that happens you feel like a monkey or eewok or something.
